Shree M.D.Mehta Girls High School
Shree M.D.Mehata Education Trust with the aim that education, culture, and service in the society should be well coordinated in girls was established on the land of Darbargadh located at Dhrol village in Jamnagar district, and was purchased by Shree M.D.Mehta sir from Dhrol Thakor saheb for the highschool.
OUR MISSION
Skilled administrator, versatile education lover, and social reformer Thakor Saheb has vision and active contribution to the field of girls’ education. On 11th June 1973, Shree M.D.Mehta Girls High School was inaugurated by then the Chief Minister of Gujarat State Shree Ghanshyambhai Oza. This journey which started with 178 students under the successful guidance of Lifetime chairman Shari Harsukhbhai Mehta & leadership of Shree Sudhaben Khandheria is continuing even today.In the last 50 years, more than 10,000 girls from the high school have received life education along with formal education.
OUR OBJECTIVES
This is a public school providing education to the girls of Dhrol and its nearby rural areas without caste discrimination. This school has been certified by ISO 9001 in curricular and co-curricular fields for the last 50 years. 21 enthusiastic and efficient staff members ,14 classes with approximately 700 students of the school have secured 80% results in secondary and higher secondary sections for the last 3 years.
SPECIALITIES OF INSTITUTE
The highschool is equipped with modern facilities and has been continuously guided by Shree Dharmeshbhai Mehta -present chairman of the institution ,Board of Trustees ,Shree Sudhaben ,Shree Hansaben and Shree Meenaben as the foundation stone.
The school has been awarded as the second best school of Jamnagar district 1987,the first best school in the district in 2008 and the second best school in the district in 2019 and insentive prize of Rs .1,00,000 for the year 2019-20 among the rural granted schools of Jamnagar district by the selection committee of Gujarat state education department Gandhinagar and DEO Jamnagar .Also in 2019-20, Khelmaha kumbh taluka level best school award with second number Rs.15000 cash prize and 3rdbest school award and received insentive prize of Rs.75000 and shield and certificate. The highschool has got the first rank for its cleanliness by Dhrol municipality.
